By resting a 4-cost or less character, she can clear pesky blockers or utility searchers like Bonney and Nami without spending a single DON!!. Alternatively, her -1 cost reduction pushes high-value targets into range for Black's destruction suite.

Playing Perona requires a "Control-First" mindset. You want to out-grind the opponent by using her Leader effect to force favorable trades. In the mid-to-late game, she becomes a nightmare for midrange decks, as she can effectively neutralize their 4-cost units every turn while establishing her own Thriller Bark engine.
