Strategic Overview

Kuzan (OP06-045) is a vital consistency engine and deck-thinner for Blue Navy decks. His [On Play] effect of drawing 2 cards and placing 2 back on the bottom of the deck is a premier "filtering" mechanic. This allows a player to aggressively dig for high-cost finishers like Aramaki or removal events while simultaneously burying "dead" cards like situational counters or low-impact characters that are no longer useful in the current board state.

As a 3-cost with 5000 power, Kuzan provides excellent board presence for his cost. He doesn't sacrifice tempo for card quality; he establishes a body that can pressure the Leader while perfecting your hand for the following turns. In a faction that relies on finding very specific answers to opponent threats, Kuzan's ability to see two extra cards deep is invaluable for maintaining a winning game plan.
