Strategic Overview

Sengoku (OP06-049) is a "vanilla" power-stat Character that serves as a high-threshold attacker for Navy-themed decks. At 5-cost with 7000 power, he sits at a mathematically significant breakpoint; most Leaders and mid-range Characters require additional DON!! investment just to reach parity with him, and he is immune to a large portion of cost-based removal that targets 4-cost units.

His role is straightforward: provide consistent, high-pressure swings every turn. In Blue control decks, he acts as a sturdy body that is difficult for the opponent to clear through combat alone, forcing them to expend valuable removal events or high-cost Character abilities to manage his board presence.

Key Strategic Synergies

• Sakazuki (OP05-041): Being a Navy type, Sengoku is easily searched and cycled within the Sakazuki engine.
• Hina (OP02-096): Helps protect Sengoku by freezing potential attackers or cost-reducing threats.
• Aramaki (OP06-043): Provides a secondary high-power threat, creating a board state that is overwhelming for mid-range opponents.
