He provides essential mid-game board control by K.O.ing 2-cost or less characters, which includes most searchers and early-game blockers. His cost of 4 and power of 5000 make him a sturdy presence that adheres to the standard power curve while providing immediate value on entry.

His ability to return cards from the trash to the bottom of the deck is a dual-purpose mechanic. While it might seem like it reduces Moria's resource pool, it actually allows you to cycle specific "vanilla" or counter cards back into the deck to avoid milling out, while keeping your high-value resurrection targets in the trash. He is the primary target for Gecko Moria's (Leader) ability when you need to clear the board of pesky utility units.
