Strategic Overview

Buffalo (OP14-070) is a specialized tech Blocker designed to punish decks that rely on "resting" effects (common in Green and Blue archetypes). While he is a standard 2-cost blocker on the surface, his unique ability to set himself as active when rested by an opponent's effect makes him incredibly resilient. By returning 1 DON!! to the deck, Buffalo refuses to stay down, forcing the opponent to commit a second effect or a direct attack just to clear a 2-cost unit.

This effect is a massive headache for Leaders like Green Doflamingo or Bonney, whose primary board control comes from resting characters. Buffalo ensures your defensive line stays active, providing constant protection even when the opponent tries to "freeze" your blockers.

Key Strategic Synergies

• Trebol (OP14-068): Trebol triggers when Buffalo returns a DON!! during the opponent's turn, immediately ramping that DON!! back and making Buffalo's resilience virtually free.
• Doflamingo (Leader OP14-060): Buffalo is a perfect redirection target. If an opponent tries to use an effect to rest your Leader, redirect to Buffalo and then stand him back up.
