Shirahoshi (OP14-047) is an exceptional utility blocker for Blue Fish-Man and Merfolk decks. Her [On Play] effect provides immense value by drawing a card (maintaining hand size) and cheating out another 3-cost or less tribal character from your hand. This single card creates a three-layered value play: board expansion, hand cycling, and defensive protection.

Strategically, Shirahoshi is the "bridge" of the Sun Pirates engine. She allows you to establish a defensive wall while simultaneously setting up offensive pieces like Kuroobi or searchers like Camie without exhausting your DON!! resources. In the Jinbe Leader deck, she is a mandatory inclusion for maintaining the aggressive tempo that tribal Blue is known for.
